In the words of carols are many older words not used in normal everyday language today.
We make a lot of false assumptions of the Christmas Story. Mary was not mild in the sense of being a pushover. they have power but under control.
Was Joseph the meekest? It is hard. Have we been ignored?
In the Christmas story we make a lot of assumptions – There is no inn keeper, No donkey. Were Mary and Joseph actually squatters?
We make assumptions of ourselves and surprises can turn up in the oddest of places and times.
