Good Friday Service – 29 March

Service led by Darryl Lomas
Considered the feeling of hate around the time of crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Peter cuts off an ear, officials, crowd, soldiers and the robbers all express distinct feelings of hate.
Christ rose above the hate and challenged officialdom. He should be our role model.

Mtt 26v46 – There was revelation of doubt by Christ which can be reassuring as we feel the world is against us. He had been in the desert, faced legal challenge, hunger and been questioned. We can identify with him as a man.

Our Good Friday – a day of judgement when we should reflect on our life and consider contemplation.

But Darryl left us with a positive message of hope as we move towards Easter and Christ conquering death.
