If you go somewhere new  how do you feel?   Are you most comfortable in places you know well ?  Somewhere familiar to us can be strange to others.  What do you think it would feel like to be in a desert for the first time ?  The Israelites had been led out of Egypt and were in the desert for 45 days when they began to grumble – bad as it had been before at least they were fed – in the desert this was not so certain –   Moses and Aaron were angry with the people for what they were saying but God heard and he sent Quails and Manna to feed them.  Their fear had won over their trust  and God understood.

Are you making plans for a holiday?  would Sheffield be an ideal holiday destination?  Would it meet your expectations?   Would you choose to be on a mountain top or in the wilderness?  Life has both to offer.  Where we meet God can be in many different places.  He will be there wherever we are.   Are your arms so full of  your everyday things that you are unable to reach out to Him?  Don’t be anywhere alone  reach out and He will come to you.
