Leader: Rev. Alan Hindmarch
Readings: Hebrews 13 v1
Luke 14 v1 & 7-14
Paul wanted everyone to do good.
Jesus spoke about guests who picked places of honour.
We sometimes forget what we are told in scripture – to look after other people, not put ourselves first.
We often forget too that things are not always how we think they should be – people are as they are – not as we think they should be – we are all in God’s sight and he sees us “warts and all” and loves us.
We MUST allow people to be themselves – don’t try to make them be different – God doesn’t expect us to change when we come before him – he sees us in our everyday lives not just in church on Sunday – “do not judge less ye be judged”
Be open and loving and seek always to do good.
In this way God will be glorified
