SOUP AND ROLL NEWSLETTER- JULY

WE ARE BACK!

Dear Soup and Rollers
It’s been a long time since we last gathered at Soup and Roll but due to the success of the vaccination programme we now feel that we can meet. It will be so good to see your faces again!
However, we will be operating a little differently because we still don’t know how people will be feeling following the govt relaxation of the Covid rules on July 19th. Some people may wish to rush back to pre covid times whilst others may feel they want to ease into things rather than going straight back to how things were before the pandemic. We respect everyone's opinion and had intended holding two 'special' ‘Soup and Roll' meetings but some of the leadership team have been 'pinged' by track and trace and have to self isolate.

This means there will be just one Summer special on:

FRIDAY 13th AUGUST 12noon-2pm

Please note the change in day to a Friday.
So,
1- Please first book your place with Sheila Lomas by phoning 0114 4534824
2- Please wear your mask into the building and at any time you need to move from your table. If you have a genuine medical reason why you cannot wear a mask, please let Sheila know when you book.
3- There will be hand sanitizer on arrival and sanitizing wipes in the toilet The
expectation is that you wipe around the loo to protect yourself before you use it and afterwards to protect the next person.
4- On arrival you will be seated on tables of six on a first come, first served basis. We will try to sit you with friends, but it may not be possible.
5- You’ll be served tea or coffee, a bowl of soup and a roll followed by a scone and a piece of cake. All of this will be on individual plates served by volunteers wearing a mask or visor.
6- We’ll be running bingo at the  ‘Soup and Roll Summer Special’
7- Due to GDPR regulations we need to update the register. We will not pass on your details to any third-party unless it is the emergency services. Details are kept in a secure location.
8- If you have caring needs and might find any of the above difficult you are welcome to bring your carer with you to Soup and Roll.

There is no charge but an opportunity exists to make a contribution.
